Post a Classified Ad
Each week has room for a few short text classifieds. These appear after Jobs and Calls in the newsletter.
What for: Get out the word about something specific: share a new project, tell the world you’re looking for work, announce an event, or find participants for a research study, students for a class, or a mentor / mentee. (See Jobs and Calls for information about sharing job openings, residencies, fellowships, and other such opportunities.)
How much: Classifieds can be purchased on a sliding scale, ranging from $50–$200 for one week. I ask that you pay what you can and I trust that you will.
What to do: To buy a classified, please email rachel@wordsofmouth.org with the following information:

Classifieds often fill up 1-2 weeks in advance, so I encourage you to submit early!
All classifieds are subject to my approval. Once your email is received, I’ll get in touch about approval and payment.
A bit about WoM readers
The newsletter goes out to over 47,000 people every week and maintains an open rate of over 75%.
Readers are located in almost every state in the US, (plus some internationals), with heavy concentration in New York, and secondary crowds in metro areas like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, and Philadelphia.
Among them are designers, artists, museum workers, writers and editors, filmmakers, activists, civic technologists, PhD students, librarians and archivists, interdisciplinary researchers, career changers, and recent undergrads searching for their first job.
